Whenever you open a Viber chat message, the sender will know that you've viewed the message because right below the Viber message, it will show "seen" status.There may be times where you are busy and have read the message but can't reply immediately but because it will show up as seen the sender may assume you are ignoring his/her message. So to save this unnecessary tension, you can disable or hide seen status from messages so that the sender won't know you've read the messages. Follow these short steps:
How to disable message seen feature on Viber messenger
- Open Viber >> Open Menu (tap on the top left icon or swipe from left edge of the screen to the right)
- Scroll down and select "Settings" >> Privacy
- Tap on Send 'Seen' Status to remove the check mark. (Turning this setting off will hide others 'Seen' status from you)
Now whenever you receive a Viber message, you can open it and others will not know that you've seen the message. From the same settings you can also turn off your "online" status so that you can appear offline to others.
