Fix: Can’t click install button in APK file installation

This is a post about the solution for install button issue during APK file (third party app) installation in Android devices. The scenario of the problem is like this: While trying to install third party app via apk files, users are unable to click or tap the "install" sign. It seems as if only the install button is disabled because the cancel button works just fine. This issue actually occurs if you have any screen filter apps installed in your device. Some apps that are known to cause this apk file installation problem include Twilight, Screen Adjuster, Easy Eye, JuiceDefender, Darker and Bluelight Filter.

This post deals with:
Why can’t I click “install” button for APK files
Install button not working with APK files
Fix APK install button disabled

The quick and easy fix is to first disable the screen filter app. You can check if the screen adjuster app is active by looking at your notification panel.

Now all you have to do is bring down the notification panel and then tap on the screen adjuster icon to disable/stop it. You can also open the screen filter app itself and then disabled it in the app. After disabling it, simply open your apk file and tap on “install” and this time it will install without problem. Once the installation is complete, you can again turn the screen filter back on.
