Many Samsung Galaxy users have this stubborn voicemail icon that stays on the notification panel even after you’ve viewed all of your voicemail. The first approach to fix this issue is to long press the icon, then click on App info and then hide content or disable (hide) notification. However, most users simply couldn’t get rid of the persistent notification icon with that method. It’s just a small icon but it could get really annoying especially if you have OCD. Fear not, you can easily clean up your smartphone’s notification by following these simple steps to remove voicemail notification on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Note 5 or any other android phone:
How to remove voicemail notification on Android smartphones
- Go to Settings >> Apps >> All
- Scroll down the list and select “Phone”
- Tap “Clear Data”
Alternately, you can also clear the Phone data by long pressing the voicemail icon on the notification panel and then tapping on “Clear Data”. These steps will make your Voicemail notification disappear but it may come back after a reboot. Also, make sure all your voicemails are marked read/listened. If know of any other methods to fix this issue please mention them in the comment below.
